Makenna Lewis cringes at any mention of the word commitment. She doesn’t want or need a relationship, but she does like sex (who doesn't).

That explains Noah, Sean, and Zander, her three 'friends with benefits'.
They know the score, they know they're not the only one, and each of them provide her with a different physical need that she craves and enjoys.

Until a late night encounter with the delicious Daniel Winters turns her preconceived notion of no-commitment completelyon its head.
Soon she finds herself feeling things she vowed never to feelagain, and when Daniel pushes for more than she’s willing to give, she falters.
What do you do when something that you’ve known to be so wrong in the past feels so damn right?
If you’re Mac, you run and hide.
But is Daniel the type of man who takes no for an answer?

Deleted Scene – Temporary Bliss

“Which boy of the week was that?” Kate asks with a smirk.

“Sean. I felt a little crazy last night so needed a spanking.”

I laugh as Kate spits her coffee out and starts choking.

“God dammit Mac, you’re so easy.”

“I’m not easy, I’m free spirited.”

“Free spirited with your body.”

“Hey now, no need to get jealous. It’s like having one boyfriend with four different talents. They’re all great at what they do, but there are particular things they excel at,” I say with a wink.

Kate giggles at that. I know she means well but I still feel the need to explain myself.
“Look, it’s what I like and it’s what I need right now. After Beau, I don’t want anything other than sex. They know the score and they’re fine with it.”

I don’t really feel the conviction in my last comment though. They’re supposed to know the score and be fine with it. But Daniel, I’m not so sure about anymore.

He seems too keen to see me, too disappointed when it’s time to leave, and has even broached the subject of catching a movie sometime. I’ve brushed it off but it is getting to the stage where I might have to break off our arrangement. It’s the last thing I want to do because he is just what I like to come home to after a long twelve hour shift. He’s the affectionate one. He’s always kissing me, nuzzling my neck, and God, the massages he gives me are to die for. Our lovemaking is soft and sensual, it;s lazy and hedonistic, it’s like a warm apple pie on a cold winter’s night. He’s my comfort sex. But get him fired up, and holy cow batman, that man can set me on fire.

Nikki's 5 star review:

Let me start off by saying how much I loved this book! This was Ms. Harvey's first Erotic romance and in my opinion she did it wonderfully! It held my attention from beginning to end and I finished it in a matter of hours. It has the perfect mix of romance, anticipation, angst, heart-break, and humor. Mac Lewis had some things happen to her in her past that's shaped her into the woman she is today; a commitment phobe. Until she has a chance meeting with Delicious Daniel Winters. Daniel is everything you could ever want in a man. He's kind, understanding, funny, with a touch of possessiveness that makes you want drop everything and let him have his wicked way with you.
But before Mac meets Daniel she has what she calls her 'Penis Harem' Yep. She has 3, well we'll call them  friends with benefits. You have Noah, the hot surgeon, also known around the hospital as The Walking Dildo. You have Sean, who is a bit older and is known as Mr. Dom. I'm sure you can guess why. Then there is the gorgeous Zander, the male stripper, who is adventurous and fun. Though Mac has these men in her life, she doesn't actually sleep with them after she meets Daniel. Though we do get to see her relationships, or lack there-of considering Mac's no-strings attached clause, with each of them during times of reflection. When I first started, I thought I was going to read about a heroine who sleeps around even after the Hero is introduced but no. It was done beautifully. We get to see everything without the heroine devaluing herself.
Oh, I almost forgot Mac's best friend Kate! She is a fire cracker! She is upfront with Mac on everything. Gives her honest opinion but not in the 'I'm in your face' rude sort of way. She's always there for Mac no matter what. Everyone needs a best friend like Kate!  I can't wait to read about her in the sequel!
And lets not leave out the HOTT sex scenes! Even though its an Erotica, the sex isn't overdone. Some Erotica will make you cringe with their vulgarity but not Temporary Bliss. While it's HOTT and detailed, its done overdone. It's the perfect blend of panty melting hot, steamy and romantic.
This book has everything you could want in a good read. I couldn't find one thing wrong with it. Sometimes I wanted to smack Mac but honestly, I can see where she was coming from so I couldn't fault her for it.
Do yourself a favor and go pick up Temporary Bliss right now!! You won't regret it!
BJ Harvey's writing style only gets better with each passing book! I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next! 5 HUGE STEAMY STARS!!
