SYNOPSIS:
So how did I get myself into this situation, you ask? Simple: desperation. When you're faced with being homeless and hungry or taking off your clothes for money, the choice is easier than you'd imagine. That doesn't make it easy, though. Oh no. I hate it, in fact. There's nothing I'd like more than to quit and never go into another bar again, never hear the techno beat pulsing in my ears again, never feel the lecherous gazes of horny men again.
Then, one day, I meet a man. He's in my club, front and center. He watches me do my routine, and his gaze is full of hunger. Not the kind of desire I'm used to though. It's something different. Something hotter, deeper, and more possessive. I know who he is; of course I do. Everyone knows who Dawson Kellor is. He's People Magazine's Sexiest Man alive. He's the hottest actor in Hollywood. He's the man hand-picked for the role of Rhett Butler in the long-awaited remake of Gone With the Wind.
He's the kind of man who can have any woman in the entire world with a mere crook of his finger. So what's he doing looking at me like he has to have me? And how do I resist him when he looks at me with those intoxicating, changeable, quicksilver eyes?
I'm a virgin, and he's an American icon of male sexuality. I'm a stripper, and he's a man used to getting anything and everything he wants. And he wants me. I know I should say no, I know he's the worst kind of player…but what my mind knows, my body and my heart may not.
And then things get complicated.

Nikki's 4.5 star Review:
This was my Jasinda Wilder read and I wasn't sure what to expect going in. One thing for sure, I wasn't disappointed! Stripped held my attention from beginning to end. Wondering whats going to happen next.
When I first started reading it I thought, Now where is this going? What does this have to do with the synopsis? Not being familiar with Ms. Wilder's work I wasn't sure if I was going to like it but the synopsis had me intrigued so I continued to read and am so glad I did. Stripped goes beyond the description. It's about a girl who is struggling to find herself in a world where she feels like she's all alone.
I really liked Grey. She was sheltered so much growing up that she doesn't know who she is. Always a Pastor's daughter in her town of Macon, Georgia. But who is Grey in this big, scary world? Where does she belong? These are things that you will discover when you accompany Grey on her journey of survival and self discovery. She was strong when she needed to be, always kind, a bit frustrating, but I don't know that I could have done what she did if I were in her shoes. She's very likeable but sometimes I wanted to smack her and be like don't be stupid. But we all make mistakes. You've just got to learn from them and try to move on. Which I think Grey did wonderfully.
Then there is Dawson Kellor. Ladies, hang on to your heart because Dawson will steal it before you even realize he's close enough to touch it. He quickly became one of my characters, not just in this book, but amongst others I've read. He's smoking hott, 6'4, hazel eyes that change colors with his mood, tan skin, muscular build. But Dawson goes way beyond his physical appearance. He's incredibly sweet, fiercely protective, and always putting Grey before anything, even his career as Hollywood's hottest actor. Dawson had me swooning from the moment I first met him in the book.
There were a few parts I felt was skimmed over and I would have liked to have seen explained a little more but nothing that affects the book as a whole. I highly recommend Stripped to people looking for a beautiful love story filled with struggles, self discovery, loss, and true love! Best of all, no cliffhanger! I felt like Ms. Wilder left it open in case she wanted to do more with it, which I would LOVE to see but if not then it ends perfectly! Again, I will say this is my first Jasinda Wilder read and I was NOT disappointed! Make sure to grab your copy as soon as possible!
