Review by Bethany Castaneda
Bethany is a guest reviewer for the HEA Book Shelf Blog but has agreed to do guest reviews for us from time to time. We are very excited to have her here with us! She mentioned to fellow BJA Admin. Janessa that she loved this book and that she had wrote a review for it and we offered to post it for her. (This is in no way an ARC, but just a book a reader purchased and loved.)
It's only her second review and we think she did an awesome job!
Hope you enjoy her review! We sure did!

Synopsis: Whose parents abandon them in a trashy trailer when they are five years old? Oh Yeah! Mine do!

Hey Hoochies! I'm Milly, and I am tired of taking kicks to the gut. A broken family, an asshole husband and the loss of loved ones have left me crying Uncle, and declaring a serious case of the Fuck-Its!

I had my heart broken, stomped on and shattered before I ever started on my journey to find my little piece of happiness. With a bucket list, a '66 Ford and wild dreams, I set out on an adventure that changed my life forever. Follow me on my journey that resurrected my inner badass.

I found my soul sista from another mista, and opened my dream shop along the way. Just when I gave up on finding true love, a pirate and a princess swept me off my ever lovin' feet and filled my world with sprinkles, mac n’ cheese and the courage to live again. They forced my fragile heart to trust and love without fear.

Truth is, nobody’s past stays hidden forever. It’s an invisible monster waiting to attack and destroy. It has the capability to ruin everything you’ve worked to set right. All it takes is one final blow to the gut to end everything.

Bethany's Review:

BadAss Stars!!

Let’s preface this review with WOW. Ok…just WOW. First book for HJ Bellus….and she seriously gives a whole new meaning to BadAss….as in Milly reeks of sexy badassery. This amazing story is not a sappy love story that gives you one turn and another and then leaves you hanging….oh nooo! This one takes the bull by the horns and you better hold on because it doesn’t slow down. This was a refreshingly fast paced, very easy to follow story that you couldn’t help but smile at. You couldn’t help but imagine the scenarios….with YOU in it. This book was so refreshing….so different, but so fun to read! It was truly amazing!

Clearly, tractors are sexy….and I am sure there is a song out there to prove it. When you have a love that is so strong that it surpasses all others…..hold onto it. Milly and Cree have foundthat love. They embody that love….and they have a no holds barred approach to it. The power and energy these two exude is contagious! She is busy checking off her bucket list….and he has no problems helping her go through them….and adding to them in the process.

“A tall, dark and very freakishly amazingly handsome man stood before me. He had a pair of faded blue jeans on and a buttoned up navy blue service shirt with his name printed on it. His dark messy hair, brown eyes and olive skin were doing damage to my panties.”

They deal with some pain, they deal with some heartache….they deal with some crap! But they deal….and they are a kick in the pants! Milly has NO problems telling it like it is and this story if full of her off the cuff, smartass remarks!

“I’m not too proud to kick a girl in her biscuit, and that’s exactly what Miss Bitch Face deserves.”
“If you think I am coming over for your cooking, then you’re not as smart as I thought you were”
“I’m convinced the world is out to make me her bitch today!”

After reading this book my grocery list got slightly longer…..follow. I will never again eat pumpkin pie without my sweetie….and I will never look at a blender for coffee the same way again. I might need to purchase some sprinkles…..I just might.
